Justin Chae’s lifestyle reccs

(I do not benefit, good people simply deserve good words)

  • Watches

Watches can be whatever you want them to be: status symbols, trophies, accessories, etc. To me, they’re trophies and metaphors for parts of my personality.

Watches of Switzerland take good care of its clients and go to extra lengths to find pieces for true enthusiasts.

Jean Rousseau makes bespoke watch straps that will change your life. They even have custom leather goods

If you like Rolex, you lack taste or had intergenerational wealth. If you like Hublot, you’re not a real person.

  • Bespoke Suiting

Every man needs a good suit. In my line of business, optics is everything. I was broke, living off my scholarship stipend and part-time wages. I dropped $1,200 on a bespoke suit. It earned itself back and more.

La Contento is a mom-and-pop shop run by the sweetest couple of first-generation koreans near Barclays Center. They were my first and continue to be my go-tos for truly unique, fun suiting.

Peep their stuff @lacontentonyc and text them at 718 309 9949

If you’re a prestige-slut or looking for more run of the mill fare, I recommend Tom Ford, Zegna, Suit Supply, Theory, Hugo Boss, Zara in descending order

  • Physical Fitness

“Well couldn’t I do this on my own?” then go do it yourself. Wilfried Assongba is the goat and knows his stuff. He comes to you no matter where in NYC you are. Hit him up at @wilfriedassongba or 347 893 7630. He holds you accountable and customizes a workout regimen to your exact goals

  • Fashion

I express my multiple personalities through clothing. If you can’t afford the brands I’m about to list, that sounds like a you problem.

Basics: Theory, Rag & Bone, Paul Smith

Glasses: Lindberg, Tom Ford, Dita, Native Ken, Mykita

Stealth Wealth: Zegna (Made-to-Measure), Tom Ford, Loro Piana, Brunello Cucinelli
